[Ringo]
Did you forget about the place you heard
the death sentence judgment?
A baby’s first cry is a signal for capital punishment
There will be no deferment until the execution

Is it going to be nothing but chasing every day,
with our memo pads in pre-established harmony?
Our depressed accomplice
is the interested party that I recall

Today is the first and last X(death) day [1]
Images pass by one another on the photograph of the deceased
The title of the play I wrote is my will
Who is the survivor that will leave an answer?
Excuses are not proof against it

When I snarl, it’s a signal of haughtiness
Howling is childish evidence
At this young age--no matter how blue [2]
A win for those that stood at the farthest ends

Today is the first and last X(death) day [1]
One last smile is on the photograph of the deceased
The texture of the topic that bloomed is a will
Now is the time to correct your answer
With it not rounded, it won’t prick

[Mummy D]
Those tricks are sharpened like a knife
What’s arrested in silk wadding are my tricks
Now, prick me, I’ll take in both thorns and flowers
If I want it, go and take anything away from there
A life sentence imposed on me since my birthday
Until the day it expires I’ll refine my central nerves
All of it, even the glittering stars brought into existence, is an illusion
Atonement for a reality of disappearing rules
Translation notes: [1] Ringo sings "X day," but above that she gives the Japanese word meaning "anniversary of a death" to clarify what "X day" refers to.
[2] The color blue in Japan generally symbolizes the past and one's youth/nostalgia for one's youth.
Info: Mummy-D of the band Maboroshi contributed guest vocals for this track.
Part demarcations added by me.

About the title... the Japanese word teguchi is normally written 手口, where the 口 is a kanji character meaning "mouth." However, Ringo chose to write it 手□ (in the title only, not in the lyrics), where the □ is a square symbol, in order to mirror the title "○(zero) chiten kara," its symmetrical counterpart in the track listing (hence why there is also a ○ circle character in the lyrics to this song as well--and a □ square characters in the lyrics to the other song). In order to preserve that connection for those of us who use roman letters, I've kept that square character in the title, romanizing it as "Te□(guchi)."
