Info: Heisei refers to the current era in Japan (1989-), and fuuzoku normally means manners, customs, or public morals but is also a euphemism for the sex industry. (The official English title for this album is "Japanese Manners"). When used in the word fuuzokuga, it refers to genre painting, usually meaning popular art from the Edo Period, when the Yoshiwara brothel district in Edo/Tokyo (the area Sakuran is set in) was at its prime and a culture of literature and art depicting the people of the pleasure quarters (the courtesans of varying class and their male patrons) developed, such as ukiyo-e.
This album features remakes of older songs in addition to new material and one cover, as well as an abnormally asymmetrical tracklisting, probably because not all the songs on the album are original new tracks.
Inside the album, Ringo gave her personal English translations of the song titles. In most cases, these are not perfect/accurate translations, but rather her own creative English version of each title. The list is as follows:
