| Hatsuga / Sprouting Hatsuiku Status Gokiritsu Japon
Translator's notes: The first stanza of "So ra do..." is written in hiragana; the second in kanji (chosen only to represent the sounds and not for their meaning); and the third in katakana. The words don't mean anything; they are simply there for sound value. [1] He-His-Him (my guess as to what 'Hii-hizu-himu' most likely means) is the title of a book by Ohshima Yumiko. The book is about a regular guy who has a boring life until his older sister notices he looks like a rock star she likes, and from that point on everything changes for him. [2] Daijirin is one of the big main dictionaries in Japan (much like Webster's, Oxford, etc). back to Ringo Shiina |
