	Alphabetical List Singles Albums Miscellaneous back		Here's the home for my Cardcaptor Sakura lyrics & translations, as well as those of other people when needed. I've been translating CCS songs since before I even formally learned Japanese (of course, now that I understand it better, I've gone back and fixed all those old errors!), so this has been a long time coming. Cardcaptor Sakura remains my favorite anime and manga, so it's been a goal of mine for years to get every vocal song translated. That goal has now been REACHED! Every single song has a translation. :) All of this information here is 100% correct. You will see lots of different versions floating around the Internet (is it Naomi Kaiya? Kaitani? Minaya?) but I've checked and double-checked to make sure that anything included on these pages is accurate, so you can trust in it. :) I should also mention that I've decided to refer to the character commonly known as Syaoran/Shaoran by his original Chinese name, Xiaolang (likewise for Meiling, which is her original Chinese name). When 'translating' names written in Japanese characters into roman letters, if the name is originally non-Japanese we should go directly from that language to roman letters, not use the Japanese katakana approximation of the name (which is what Syaoran/Shaoran is). To do otherwise would be to deny or suppress a part of that character (e.g., his or her original nationality). I think the names shaoran and meirin should only be referred to in roman-letter-using languages as Xiaolang and Meiling. And if you like what you see here, please sign the tagboard and let me know!!
