Bonnie Pink Lyrics & Translation
Nocturne
Golden Tears

sayonara no kassai o ukete mou ichido arukidasu
Brand-new na jinsei o kimi nashi de
suteta mono o kakidashite mo kaeranai
nai itsumo no genki nante

natsu ga kite one step aki ga kite two steps
fuyu ga kite haru o matsu koro
sotsugyou dekiru ka na [1]

Ever since you saw me cry
Ever since you heard me curse
Ever since the nocturne faded away
My home had been you

koko kara tte itta no wa watashi datta
ne o agete kakkou tsukanai shoubu
sagashita tte windoo ni mo utsuranai
nai itsumo no sugata nante

natsu ga kite one step aki ga kite two steps
fuyu ga kite haru o matsu koro
jiyuu ni nareru ka na

Ever since you saw me cry
Ever since you heard me curse
Ever since the nocturne faded away
My home had been you

Ever since you saw me cry
Ever since you heard me curse
Ever since the nocturne faded away
My home had been you

The nocturne is back
The nocturne is back in me
Given a cheer of goodbye, I start to walk once more
in a brand-new life without you
What was thrown away won’t come back even if I write it down
My usual energy is... gone

Summer is here, one step – fall is here, two steps
Winter is here, time to wait for spring
I wonder if I can move on [1]

I was the one who said “from here on out”
It was a round with no outward decency and frustrated cries
What I sought isn’t reflected even in store windows
My usual appearance is... gone

Summer is here, one step – fall is here, two steps
Winter is here, time to wait for spring
I wonder if I can get used to freedom

Translator's notes: [1] Sotsugyou, translated here as "move on," can also mean "graduate" (from school). In Japan, school graduation occurs in March, in the spring. So Bonnie is making a double meaning out of sotsugyou--the song's speaker is wondering if she can move on/graduate from a breakup around the season people similarly graduate from school.
