Bonnie Pink Lyrics & Translation
Fyewsha Fyewsha Fyewsha

anata o omotte kokoro ga afureta

sore wa amakute

kannanshinku no koi no iro
sou anata dake shiranai

nee kidzuitara
fyuusha fyuusha fyuusha
kono hoho ni te o atete
mou mawari michi wa shinai to itte
It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha

dakedo boku wa chigau to uso demo itte

ikiteiku uchi ni deau to shinjita

anata o omou to kokyuu ga tomatta

sore wa amakute

nee kidzuitara
fyuusha fyuusha fyuusha
kono hoho ni te o atete
osoku natte gomen to itte
It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
ushinau no wa kowaku nai
dakedo kimi wa chigau to me o mite itte

tomodachi no kyori de miteita yo
kanjou kakushikirezu akaranda
kono haato panku shisou

fyuusha fyuusha fyuusha
kono hoho ni te o atete
mou mawari michi wa shinai to itte
It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
hito wa minna utsurigi de
dakedo boku wa chigau to uso demo itte

It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
when you see my face
if I’m in the race
tell me to stay here
and I’ve got to believe
It will be fyewsha in the future
kono hoho ni te o atete
kimi to nara arukesou da to itte
kimi to boku de arukanai ka to itte
kimi to nara arukesou da to itte
uso demo itte
me o mite itte
I remembered the me who was living unawares
Despite my methods not to cry,
it overflowed
Thinking of you, my heart overflowed

That was sweet;
that was painful
Earrings that sway along with my heart
The color of a love full of hardships
Yes – you alone do not know

Hey, when you realize it
Fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
Touch my cheeks,
say we won’t detour around anymore
It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
People are all fickle,
but I say differently even if it’s a lie

I believed we’d meet in the course of life
If that happened, I ran
And yet, it stopped
By thinking of you, my breath stopped

That was sweet;
that was painful
Raspberries fallen from a champagne glass
The color of a love full of hardships
I can’t yet say it to you

Hey, when you realize it
Fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
Touch my cheeks,
say you’re sorry you’re late
It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
I’m not scared to lose you
But you say differently looking at me

I’d watched you from a friend’s distance
I blushed, barely covering up my emotions
This heart’s about to be punctured

Fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
Touch my cheeks,
say we won’t detour around anymore
It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
People are all fickle,
but I say differently even if it’s a lie

It’s fyewsha, fyewsha, fyewsha
when you see my face
if I’m in the race
tell me to stay here
and I’ve got to believe
It will be fyewsha in the future
Touch my cheeks,
say it seems you can walk if you’re with me,
say ‘Shall we walk together?’,
say it seems you can walk if you’re with me,
say it even if it’s a lie,
say it looking at me

Info: Normally in Japanese, the word fuchsia (referring to both the color and the plant) is pronounced fukushia, in keeping with the German pronunciation of the name of the German botanist it was named after, Leonhart Fuchs (pronounced "Fooks"). However, it was the French botanist Plumier who named the plant after Fuchs, not Fuchs himself, so the word is originally French, and in French fuchsia is pronounced much like how we say it in English ("fewsha"), so it's not clear why the Japanese insist on pronouncing it a German way that actually doesn't exist, as the German name for the plant is Fuchsien, taken itself from the original French word fuchsia.

With the title of this song, Bonnie chose not to go with the "correct" (according to a mistaken Japanese perception) spelling fukushia, but instead she went with an alternate "English-pronunciation-based" spelling that has sprung up recently in Japanese, that of fyuusha, or as she chooses to spell it out phonetically in the lyrics, "Fyewsha." Each time the word "fyewsha" appears, it really refers to fuchsia (a pink color), and specifically to the English pronunciation of it.
